SNOHOMISH COUNTY — Police are investigating a body found in the water off Olympic Beach Park Friday in Edmonds.
According to the Edmonds Police Department, a passerby spotted the body floating face down just off the shoreline around 8:50 a.m. Fire district workers were called to the scene and dragged the man out. However, they were unable to revive him.
The body in the water was described by police as an elderly man wearing everything except for his shoes.
The Snohomish County Medical Examiner was contacted and will determine the specific cause of death, as well as releasing the name of the man once his next of kin is located.
