A motorhome crash on SR 8 Wednesday.

OLYMPIA — A man was killed Wednesday afternoon when a 20-foot motor home he was driving careened off the road and hit a tree.

According to Washington State Patrol trooper Guy Gill, the man was driving his 1981 Huntsman motor home on State Route 8 near Milepost 18 west of Olympia. The man was found dead at his scene. He was later identified as Todd A. Guse, 55, of Olympia.

The cause of the accident is unknown.

Officials said one eastbound lane of SR-8 was closed around 1 p.m. Wednesday, but reopened later.
