Worst passwords of 2013

LOS GATOS, Calif. -- Hackers are finding an even easier way to get your information – by stealing passwords. Researchers say some are easier to crack than others

According to security firm, Splashdata, the worst password of 2013 was ‘123456.’ Coming in second was ‘password.’

Security experts say you should avoid commonly used words and phrases for passwords, because it only makes it easier for hackers to guess. Splashdata also suggests replacing letters with similar looking numbers, like using a ‘3’ instead of an ‘E.’
