12th Man prepares for NFC championship against 49ers

SEATTLE -- It is the NFC championship match-up for which a lot of Hawks fans had hoped.

"I was rooting for them today to win so we could face them next week and just put it to rest and show them who is best,” Hawks fan Jason Brunner said.

A championship game against the team a lot of us love to hate; hate to watch them play, certainly don't like to watch them win, and really most 12's don't even like to listen to them talk.

"I think we're the two teams that everybody was kind of looking at from the beginning.  It's going to be a knock down drag out game,” 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick said.

"We have weapons all around.  You try to take one guy out we still have two, three guys left that can make big plays, so,” 49ers wide receiver Anquan Bolden said.

Whatever!!! Says Seahawks' fan Ronald Vittitoe.

"We definitely have a better quarterback and a better team and we got the 12 man. GO HAWKS,” Seahawks fan Ronald Vittitoe said.

Currently the Hawks are three and a half point favorites and the all-time series between the two teams is tied at 15, so with a trip to the Superbowl at stake, the victor will claim the biggest win of the series.

"I'm thinking we're going to kill the 49ers like we always do at home,” Vittitoe said.

We found a lot of fans in SODO Sunday, cruising the Team Shops, looking for some new gear.

Most admit they bought a lot during the holidays, but something new is justifiable with the Seahawks one win away from the Superbowl.

Home field and the 12th man too; a real advantage and the players never take it for granted.

"It's a big deal to play them here.  We've earned that right.  We've earned that right to play them at home, to be on our home field in front of our fans and our fans have earned that right with their cheering, with their enthusiasm,” Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman said.

"Kaepernick hopefully goes down early.  Seahawks big victory, no drama, get it down.  Superbowl,” Hawks fan Frank Norris said.

If you’re hoping to get tickets to the game, good luck.

They go on sale at ten o’clock Monday morning, availability is expected to be extremely limited and a sellout could take just a matter of minutes.

Forbes magazine is it will be the most expensive ticket this season in the entire NFL.

Cheap seats start just under $400 on the secondary market. The average price is $740 and the most expensive ticket, according to one ticket broker, is in the Club section, row 109.  Price?  $6600.
