Man who stabbed ex-girlfriend to death in Auburn gets 50 years

SEATTLE -- A 31-year-old man was sentenced Friday to 50 years in prison for the stabbing death of his former girlfriend in Auburn in 2012.

Scottye Miller was convicted last month by a King County Superior Court jury of first-degree murder, with a deadly weapon enhancement, for the killing of Tricia Patricelli, 33.

Prosecutors said Miller stabbed the victim at least 30 times in the brutal attack.

The jury's verdict included two aggravating factors -- that ther ewas a domestic violence patter of abuse of multiple vcitims and that miller reoffended after recently being released from incarceration for a prior domestic violence offense against Patricelli.
