Navy to resume training flights over Whidbey Island

WHIDBEY ISLAND -- Residents on Whidbey Island are getting ready for more jet noise from the naval air station. The navy's moratorium on training flights over the island is about to end.

According to the Navy Times, the flights will resume sometime next month after being stopped for several months because of noise complaints.

Since 2008, Whidbey has been a training ground for the navy's Growler jets. Two more squadrons could be headed for training at the base by 2015.
