IMG_0049FEDERAL WAY – A car thief is making it more difficult for a local non-profit to provide food to needy families this holiday season.

Multi-Service Center of Federal Way has several delivery vans they use to pick up and deliver food donations.  On Monday morning, as volunteers were preparing the vans to go for their morning pick-ups, one of the vans disappeared.  It was last seen on I-5 near Boeing Field.

The vans pick up donations five days a week from local grocers, restaurants, Food Lifeline and Northwest Harvest.  These donations account for 90-percent of the food distributed through the food bank.

The van is a 2009 Chevy Express and is forest green in color.  It does have ‘Multi-Service Center’ printed in white on both sides.  The license plate number is B66231N.

If you see this van, call your local police authority, or contact Multi-Service Center at 253-838-6810.
