SEATTLE — The Washington State Patrol is investigating a deadly crash that occurred around 7 p.m. Sunday night in Skagit County, said Trooper Mark Francis.

A 59-year-old Burlington man was driving a 1994 Ford Ranger pick-up truck in the 1300 block of Beaver Lake Road, just north of the town of Clear Lake.

The man drove off the road and struck a hit tree 25 feet from the road.

The driver was wearing a seatbelt and was not ejected from the truck.

Francis said it does not appear alcohol or drug are a factor in the crash.
