Woman dies in Tumwater house fire

TUMWATER -- A 39-year-old woman died after she was rescued from a house fire early this morning. Fire crews report she was the only one in the home.

The Olympian reports that 30 firefighters worked to put out the blaze, which ignited about 2 a.m. on the 300 block of W. Street SW. in Tumwater.

Damage was estimated at about $100,000.

The cause is under investigation.
