Much colder weather heads in

SEATTLE -- Thursday will be breezy with a few showers, but not too bad. However, Friday will bring gusty and wet conditions.

On Friday, there will be some rain for the lowlands but lots of snow for the mountain passes. Snow level will be down to 2,000 feet. That includes all passes. That's good for the ski areas but still too early to open for the season. The lowlands will see about one-quarter to one-half inch of rainfall, and the gusts should stay below 35 mph.

Saturday and Sunday look mostly dry but colder. Highs this week have been around 60 degrees. Highs this weekend will be around 45 degrees. The lows will drop to freezing Sunday morning. Seahawks Sunday looks sunny but cold. Kickoff temperature will be only about 40 degrees.
