More body parts found in Thurston County

remainsYELM -- Searchers found more body parts Wednesday in Thurston County, not far from where part of a human leg bone was discovered Saturday, the Thurston County Sheriff's Office said.

Searchers found part of a skull and arm bone Wednesday morning near the 13600 block of Peter Kalama Drive north of Yelm. Investigators were called to the address Saturday after a dog dragged home part of a leg bone that he found while scrounging in nearby woods.

The Thurston County Coroner's Office has confirmed the pieces are human bones, but have not yet concluded how, or why, the bones were in a remote area.

Searchers will continue to investigate the wooded area near the Nisqually River for more bones in the coming days, officials said.
