One person dead in Thurston county house fire

Thurston Fatal FireLACEY –  One person is dead in an early morning house fire near Lacey, in Thurston county.  Lacey Fire District 31 Chief Steve Brooks said that firefighters responded to the 1200 block of Marvin Road SE just before 6 a.m. Saturday.  Brooks said that the unidentied victim was an adult female.  Three other people escaped the burning house; unfortunately firefighters were unable to enter the house, due to the heavy flames,  Brooks said.

The cause of the fire has not been determined. The Thurston County Sheriff’s office is on scene and assisting in the investigation.  The identity of the victim will be released by the Thurston county medical examiners office.
