13 Coins to open Pioneer Square location

SEATTLE -- Iconic restaurant 13 Coins is planning to open a location in Seattle's Pioneer Square, according to a report by the Puget Sound Business Journal.

The paper reported that the new location will be part of the Embassy Suites by Hilton hotel, which will be part of the Stadium Place development. Hotel construction is expected to start in 2014, with the opening of the new 13 Coins to follow once the hotel is in place.

According to the Puget Sound Business Journal, this will mark the restaurant's first opening in nearly 40 years. The first location opened its doors in South Lake Union in 1967, with a second one opening in 1976 at Sea-Tac Airport.
