Troopers looking for drunken drivers leaving Halloween parties

The Washington State Patrol will be out in full force this weekend, as part of a special DUI emphasis for Halloween.

Troopers will heavily patrol the I-5 corridor, from Seattle's Ravenna neighborhood to Tukwila. They'll be out daily from noon to 4 a.m., using marked and unmarked police cars.

The emphasis runs through Friday morning.

Last year's patrol efforts saw an 81 percent increase in DUI arrests, and a 60 percent increase in traffic stops compared to the year before.

There were no traffic fatalities in the area in 2012 ... and the WSP wants to make sure there are none again this year.
