Energetic teenagerLACEY — A Lacey high school is making students and their parents sign an agreement stating students will not twerk, lap dance, or otherwise “look like you’re having sex” on the dance floor during school-sanctioned events.

River Ridge High School Officials in Lacey sent home the RRHS Dance Contract earlier this month. The contract outlines various examples of “inappropriate dancing,” as well as consequences that will incur following a student violation.

Punishments range from a warning to removal from a dance and ban on future dances. Students’ parents are asked to sign the form, notifying them that the cost of the dance will not be refunded following a student’s dismissal.

Below is the full dance contract.

twerking is a type of dancing in which the dancer, usually a woman, shakes her hips in an up-and-down bouncing motion, causing the dancer's buttocks to shake, "wobble" and "jiggle.

so if the DJ plats "Jump" by HOuse of Pain by this contract students can't jump. While it is distressing that high schools even need this tyoe of contract, maybe the powers that be really read and consider what they banning. There are dance moves that are not sexually explicit that are now "banned" because of this. This is why parents should parent and schools should educate

Seriously! Just kick their butts out if they do it. If told not to then they were warned. I guess these days a contract is necessary to kick them out. I bet parents would still complain. Our schools suffer because of stupid things like this. Just kick their butts out. Period!
