Blue Angels to roar this summer
SEATTLE -- The familiar Blue Angels are slated to return to Seafair in 2014 after missing a year in the skies because of budget cuts.
According to Seafair's Facebook page, the Blue Angels are on tap to return to the skies around Seattle in 2014 as part of Fleet Week, a portion of the annual Seafair.
Though budget cuts remain, the Navy announced a full 2014 schedule for the Blue Angels, including five full fleet weeks across the country. Last year, the Department of Defense cut nearly 3,000 in the face of federal sequestration.
This year's SeaFair Fleet Week starts July 30, and is the 65th anniversary of the celebration.
