halloweenSEATTLE – Now that Halloween is only weeks away, police are reminding parents how to avoid sex offenders when their kids go trick-or-treating.

“With over 1,700 RSOs (registsered sex offenders) living in Snohomish County, it’s important that parents know which houses their children should avoid on Halloween night,” Sheriff Ty Trenary said. “Alert, involved and informed parents are key to keeping our kids safe.”

Parents can go online to search for sex offenders in or near their neighborhood.

WATCH OUT! AROUND HALF of the Sex Offender registry is outdated, not updated, or does not include addresses (former or current) AT ALL. Many of these only register when released, and then never update their information; they are often not followed up on, often have NO PUBLIC NOTIFICATION (via local newspapers, mailings, or public meetings, and/or are not tracked any further than their initial registration, by any agency's Enforcement divisions.
In addition, rental and property management companies DO NOT check this registry when they run applications for new renters! The S.O. Registries are NOT LINKED with WA State Patrol's background search database, NOR ARE THEY LINKED BETWEEN COUNTIES! Example: a Level 3 (high-risk) Offender might be listed in the King County registry, but might live in Snohomish County and not even appear in that county's records at all!
WATCH OUT! Look at the pictures, and study the NON-COMPLIANT section. Also try a better mapping website: http://www.familywatchdog.us

There is a reason many don't register. Registering only makes the community less safe. There is no relationship between re-offense and compliance with a registry.

BUT you do make a great case for NOT registering (newspapers, mailings, public meeting, and renal companies using the registry to deny housing).

It is ILLEGAL to use the registry to systematically isolate a person from the community that has no ability to challenge or appeal this policy or even a registry.

BlackBelt? Your registry has no credibility. Even having a level 3 has no meaning as to dangerousness. Do you know why? Because it is not done by a COURT OF LAW under established standards. It is a FICTION of a dangerousness because all it allows the State to do is to tell you a person is dangerous. They are getting away with the fiction because you are satisfied you hate them the most.

You know why you'll never do that (take them to a court)? Because it will take all the fun out of the humiliation that is the only outcome of your registry. THANK GOD I have left your illegal registry.

Mr. Kiggins, please, write something that will actually help save children.

Encourage the police department not to occupy themselves with this on Halloween but to rather assign extra personnel to traffic duty. While the increased risk to children for sexual harm on Halloween has been found to be zero, statistics show that children are at four times greater risk on Halloween of being killed in an auto/pedestrian accident.

My coder is trying to persuade me to move to .net from PHP. I have always disliked the idea because of the costs. But he’s tryiong none the less. I’ve been using Movable-type on various websites for about a year and am nervous about switching to another platform. I have heard good things about blogengine.net. Is there a way I can import all my wordpress content into it? Any kind of help would be really appreciated! ミュウミュウ バッグ 新作 http://www.callcheap.info/ミュウミュウ【miumiu】-hotsale-18.html
