'Domestic Violence Crackdown' fugitive surrenders after finding out he's on WMW

wayneFUGITIVE CAPTURED October 9, 2013 -- After finding out he was one of WMW's Domestic Violence Crackdown fugitives, Wayne Carlson did the right thing and surrendered on Wednesday. Kitsap County Deputy Sheriff Scott Wilson says once Carlson was on WMW, the word spread to him quickly. He stayed on the run for a few more days -- narrowly missing being apprehended -- before deciding to surrender voluntarily. Carlson is in custody on the unlawful imprisonment (DV) charge, and also for an outstanding warrant of arrest for DUI.

"She tried to leave the apartment, and he had the door blocked, and she tried to escape via window, and he managed to pull her back from the window and shut the window so she couldn't get out,” says Kitsap County Dep. Sheriff Scott Wilson. “When he learned police were in route, he fled the area, and officers have not been able to contact him." Wayne Carlson is 31 years old.
