child-sexSKYWAY — A 57-year-old man is charged in King County Court with promising a 9-year-old girl “grown up candy” and cigarettes in exchange for sex.

Danny C. Park is charged with child luring after allegedly offering a girl candy — which he later called “grown up candy” —  in exchange for sex Sept. 27 at the Creston Point Apartments in the 13000 block of Martin Luther King, Jr. Way South.

According to court documents, a witness overheard Park asking the girl if she knew “what love is” and invited her into his apartment. But before the girl could go in, the woman intervened, calling Park a pervert and telling the girl to run.

When police arrived, Park claimed he was telling the girl not to talk to strangers. He had allegedly been drinking, according to court documents, and made it difficult for officers to read Park his Miranda rights.

The girl later told a child specialist that Park told her he had “plenty” of cigarettes in the house, and also had “grown up candy that was bad stuff for kids.” He also allegedly said he loved her and said he “gets high and laid all the time.”  She said he asked her to have “whatever” with him; whatever referring to sex.

She recognized he was drunk, according to court documents. The girl’s mother told investigators Park did not have permission to be in contact with the child.

Park is in King County Jail in lieu of $30,000 bail.

How about the news show some recognition to the witness. Pay there rent for a month or something. This witness just saved a young girl from long-term effects!
