WMW viewer tips -- and police PIT manuever -- help put brakes on accused car crook

sanderFUGITIVE CAPTURED September 26, 2013 -- The Snohomish County Violent Offender Task Force says WMW viewer tips called into Crime Stoppers of Puget Sound led them to Matthew Sander -- but not until he led them on high-speed chase in a stolen car. It took an intense PIT maneuver to stop him. Deputies say he admitted to stealing the car and had meth on him, so he was booked on three new felony charges. He told the Task Force, "I can't believe I was on Washington's Most Wanted"

WANTED IN SNOHOMISH COUNTY September 20, 2013 -- Cops say Matthew Sander behind a recent rash of car crimes, and now, he has the Snohomish County Violent Offender Task Force on the hunt for him. They say Sander is deep into drugs that make him dangerous. He's being investigated for a string of car theft cases in Everett, and all over Snohomish County. He's also wanted by the Department of Corrections for Escape. The Task Force says Sanders has been known to be armed, and could be hiding in Everett, near Casino Rd. and Evergreen Way. He's 31 years old and a little skinnier now than in his mug shot from a few months ago.
