Would you like some low-fat fries with that?

Burger King targets health-conscious consumers by offering low-fat, reduced-calorie french fries.

SEATTLE -- Burger King wants to give consumers an excuse to gobble up its french fries.

The hamburger chain launched a low-fat, reduced calorie french fry Tuesday. Dubbed "Satisfries," they are said to have 40 percent less fat and 30 percent fewer calories than McDonald's fries.

While Burger King isn't calling them health food, they said the fries are healthier because of a new batter recipe that blocks oil absorption. They also claim customers won't be able to tell they are lower in calories.

A small order of Satisfries costs $1.89, compared to $1.59 for regular fries. But the Home of the Whopper is betting consumers will shell out a little more to be healthier.
