Seattle restaurants make national 'fit' list

SEATTLE -- Seattle was among several U.S. cities earning high marks from OpenTable.

Seven of the city's restaurants were chosen as 2013 Diners' Choice Award winners for the list of Top 100 Fit for Foodies Restaurants in the United States.

OpenTable, a restaurant reservations website, released its list Tuesday. The winners were chosen from more than 5 million reviews of more than 15,000 restaurants nationwide, as posted by the website's users.

The Seattle restaurants on the list are Altura, Casina Spinasse, How to Cook a Wolf, Poppy, Spur Gastropub, Staple and Fancy Mercantile, and Tilth.

California had more restaurants on the list than any other state, with 20 winners. Seven Oregon restaurants were also included.
