Acting on Crime Stoppers tips from Washington’s Most Wanted viewers on Monday, Tukwila police arrested accused bank robber Joel Wishnia and his girlfriend Ashley Aguinaldo at the Days Inn Motel on 48th Ave S.

Detectives say Wishnia implied he had a weapon and robbed the Washington Federal Savings Bank in Seattle.

Aguinaldo was wanted by the King County Sheriff’s Office for drugs and theft.

They are WMW captures #456 and #457.

Seattle police say Joel Wishnia was caught on camera robbing a bank, and now he could be rolling with his girlfriend — who’s also wanted.

Take a look at the surveillance photo from the Washington Federal Savings Bank in Seattle as he came in acting really nervous. Detectives say Wishnia implied he had a weapon and demanded cash from the teller. When he got the money, he stuffed it in a bag and then took off.

“This guy has a pretty good record, meaning it’s not his first time around,” says Ret. Det. Myrle Carner with Crime Stoppers of Puget Sound. “He’s got a felony warrant for possession of a stolen vehicle, felony warrant for dangerous drugs. Obviously this guy is doing this, and the chances of him doing it again are pretty good unless we get him caught.”

Joel Wishnia has multiple arrests here in Washington, but no serious convictions. He does have a history of drug violations in Florida.

Wishnia is 32 years old and could be with his girlfriend, 24 year old Ashley Aguinaldo. She’s wanted right now by the King County Sheriff’s Office for drugs and theft.

Both of them could be in Everett, or around north Seattle and Shoreline.
