WANTED IN SEATTLE —
We haven’t had a lot of pharmacy robberies since the makers of Oxycontin changed the pills so you can’t crush them up. But, that didn’t stop this guy who sent employees running in fear.
Separate from the cash reward from Crime Stoppers, there’s an extra $2,500 reward being offered by RX Patrol — if you can tell police his name. He tried to steal drugs from the Rite Aid on 35th Ave. NE on September 5th.
Take a look at the video as Ret. Det. Myrle Carner with Crime Stoppers of Puget Sound walks you through the crime. “He approaches the pharmacist on duty and says in a pretty loud voice, I have a gun. She doesn’t respond she just runs. Next thing you know, he looks frustrated so he vaults the counter and he’s looking for narcotics. The thing that’s scary to me as a law enforcement officer that obviously this suspect in this case not only indicated he had a gun but he obviously has no concern about anybody in the store. You’ll notice in the video that there’s actually shoppers in the store picking up items. He’s oblivious to them but they notice him. Obviously, they’re scared. Didn’t bother him in the least bit.”
The suspect had a red bandana and sunglasses on his face but we know he’s white with dark colored hair. He was wearing a green and white Oregon Ducks baseball hat, with the sticker on the bill.
That jacket is black with white stripes and he had on tan-colored cargo pants, white socks, light colored Nike’s and gloves.
Again, if you can tell detectives who this armed robbery suspect is, you will get the Crime Stoppers reward plus an extra $2,500 from RX Patrol.
If you recognize him,
