The U.S. Cannabis Cup, a two-day festival sponsored by High Times magazine, blows into Seattle this weekend.  The Cannabis Cup, founded back in 1987, brings together thousands of marijuana supporters, celebrities and artists, according to High Times.  The expo includes vendors and judges from around the world, and competitions judging marijuana and seed samples for their variety and overall excellence.

Well-known travel authority and marijuana advocate Rick Steves will attend and be recognized at the Cannabis Cup.  The band Slightly Stoopid will perform at the WaMu Theater on Saturday, with Redman, the hip-hop artist, opening the show.

The Cannabis Cup will be at the Freemont Studios and it open to all adults 21 and over.  Tickets for a one-day admission are $50 and a Super VIP Two-Day Pass cost $269.00.
