A local couple says the used office chair they bought from a Value Village thrift shop was infested with bedbugs.

According to the website, My Northwest, the couple purchased the chair from the Ballard location for just $10.

Shortly after they brought it home, Craig Chester tells the website, he started to itch like crazy,

Chester tells My Northwest the bedbugs quickly spread to rooms all over his house.

The couple were forced to move the of the items in their home outside and started sleeping in a shed because they couldn't pay for an exterminator at the time, according to the website.

They contacted Value Village about the bedbugs problem who offered them a refund for the $10 chair and 50% off anything in the store, according to the site.

Eventually Chester got the company to write him a check for nearly $10,000 to cover the cost of an exterminator, reports My Northwest.
