Labor Day weekend forecast

SEATTLE -- August will go down in the history books as the warmest month ever for overnight lows. We’ve had 15 nights at 60 degrees or higher, which breaks the record of 13 set in 1942. In case you're wondering, the average is about three nights where lows rise to that level of warmth.

High pressure is building in for the weekend and that means warm, sunny days and cooler nights. Highs Saturday and Sunday will be around 80 degrees while overnight lows will drop into the mid-50s.

Labor Day will see an increase in clouds and chance for a few light showers throughout the day. Better chances for widespread rain on Tuesday. Highs will drop into the mid-70s.
