SEATTLE — An accident on southbound Interstate 5 at Spokane Street between a semi truck, two cars and a charter bus injured at least six people, Seattle firefighters said. The accident happened shortly after noon on Thursday.
Washington State Patrol Trooper Chris Webb said the semi truck was traveling from West Seattle on to southbound I-5 when it lost control and struck two cars and a bus.
Some of those involved in the accident were complaining of neck and back pain, firefighters said. Six people were transported to Harborview Medical Center; one was in critical condition and two others in serious condition.
The driver of the semi truck suffered serious injuries and two people in the car were also seriously injured.
The accident blocked two lanes of the interstate and an investigation is underway as to the cause of the accident.
