Suspect shot by police in Buckley

BUCKLEY, Wash. -- The Pierce County Sheriff's Department reported a suspect was shot by sheriff's deputies Thursday morning at a hotel.

According to Pierce County Sheriff's Spokesman Ed Troyer, police were looking for 28-year-old suspect Justin Micahel Linn at a hotel on West Main Street in Buckley around 9:30 a.m. Thursday. Linn was allegedly involved in a Spanaway shooting and home invasion two weeks ago and was spotted Thursday morning in Buckley.

Police shot the Linn following an incident. A prior release from the sheriff's department claims the suspect was "prepared" to shoot police, and made several threats to shoot at law enforcement.

No police were injured. Linn was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, Troyer said.

Linn has 13 prior felony convictions.
