Little change in weather

SEATTLE -- A few minor disturbances clipped the NW corner of our state adding more clouds in the morning and light drizzle on the coast. Tomorrow will offer more of the same.

Most locations remained dry under sunny skies and that will be the trend throughout the coming week.  Morning clouds, cool north breeze and sunny afternoons can be expected with highs hitting 80 by mid-week.

Weather models are hinting at next month being warmer than average for our state. August has already fulfilled much of that prediction with the average temperature yielding about 3 degrees above the normal high. If the forecast for September holds, this will give us an extended summer -just like last year- where highs stayed near 80 degrees for several days of that month.

We will have to wait and see. Only 35 days until Autumn begins.
