Eastlake Little League rally falls short, lose to Connecticut

WILLIAMSPORT, Penn.---

The Eastlake Little League team from Sammamish, Washington lost Sunday to Westport, Connecticut, 9-7 final.

Eastlake starting pitcher Jacob Dahlstrom was struck in the knee on a line drive and did not return to the game.  Westport took advantage with a 9-1 lead, but Eastlake rallied to the cut the deficit to 9-7 and had a chance in the final inning to win or tie the game.  Westport reliever Alex Reiner came in to stop the threat with a strikeout that ended the game. 

Eastlake, representing the Northwest Region, will play Urbandale, Iowa on Monday at 5pm Pacific time.
