SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. -- A Little League team from Washington travelled a long way and worked hard to get where they are.

Now, it's up to them to push on.

Fourteen boys from Sammamish's Eastlake Little League team will compete in their first Little League World Series game Thursday afternoon in South Williamsport, Pa. The boys, from ages 12 to 13, are the first Little League World Series team from the Seattle area since a team from Auburn went a few years ago. The team will face off against youngsters from Corpus Christi, Texas at 12:00 p.m. Thursday.

The Eastlakers won the state tournament earlier this year, and recently won the Northwest Little League Championship. They're one of 16 teams at the international tournament.

Those interested in viewing the game can attend a watch party at the Teen Center on 228th Northeast in Sammamish.

The Little League World Series final is Aug. 25.
