Child seriously injured by hit-and-run driver in Burien
BURIEN -- A young child was severely injured by a hit-and-run driver in Burien Thursday night, King County sheriff's spokesman Jason Stanley said.
The child, estimated to 2 to 5 years of age, was hit by an older-model Honda Accord or Civic at SW 124th Street and 4th Avenue SW at about 9:25 p.m., Stanley said.
The driver initially pulled over, but then took off, Stanley said.
The child had life-threatening injuries and was rushed to Harborview Medical Center.
