Bits of summer rain continue

SEATTLE -- We had some refreshing rainfall yesterday and today we could get a bit more.  Just a few showers this afternoon as a weak summer system moves through.

Mainly it'll be cloudy today and cooler with highs near normal, mid-to-upper 70s.  It also feels kinda muggy. Tomorrow will be partly-to-mostly cloudy and there is still a chance of an isolated shower.  Highs upper 70s.  Saturday will be partly cloudy with the chance of an isolated shower and highs in the mid 70s.

Sunday through the beginning of next week, we go back to mostly sunny skies and highs close to 80. Although, some computer models have us cooler next week. We'll have to wait and see.

Line of "jellyfish clouds." This is virga -- precipitation that evaporates before it hits the ground. These are ice crystals "raining out" beneath little clouds. Because it takes awhile for ice crystals to evaporate, they make these lovely trails. Fr

Another photo of the line of virga that appeared last week.  Just lovely. From Linda in Edmonds.
