Dispute over stolen tent leads to stabbing

SEATTLE -- A dispute over a stolen tent allegedly led a 61-year-old man to stab a 38-year-old man in the arm several times Monday night in Lake City.

Seattle police responded to reports around 9 p.m. of a stabbing in the 11700 block of Daniel Place NE. According to police, the transient suspect stabbed another man multiple times in the arm after the two fought over a stolen tent.

Police called to the scene spotted the victim, who was attended by three men. The victim described the suspect and police were able to find him on a trail a short distance away. He was arrested and booked into King County Jail on investigation of assault.

The victim was treated by the Seattle Fire Department and taken to Harborview Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

Seattle police detectives will investigate the incident.
