'Suck on This' anti-smoking campaign too edgy?

SEATTLE -- The new anti-smoking campaign aimed at teens is raising some eyebrows in Tacoma.

The Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department is using these neon "Suck on This" t-shirts to discourage teen smoking.

The Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department unveiled the campaign at the Pierce County Fair last weekend. Volunteers were wearing neon T-shirts reading "Suck on This."

Underneath the slogan it reads "One hour of hookah equals 150 cigarettes."

Edie Jeffers with the Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department admits it's a little offensive, but defends the campaign. "We're looking to get kids talking about tobacco use," she said.
