Fire destroys Shoreline apartment

shoreline fireSHORELINE, Wash. — Fire officials said a fire that ripped through an apartment in Shoreline was an accident.

Flames broke out around 8:00 p.m Monday at the Peppertree Apartments on Ballinger Way NE. When crews arrived, one apartment was fully engulfed.

Crews managed to put it out before it spread to neighboring units.

No one was inside at the time of the fire. There were no reports of any injuries.

The apartment is considered a total loss, officials said.
