Police search for suspect who sexually assaulted 16-year-old girl

SEATTLE -- Kent police are asking for the public's help in locating a man who broke into an East Hill apartment and sexually assaulted a 16-year-old girl on Aug. 6.

According to police, the man entered the apartment through an unlocked front door and forced the teen into a bedroom at knifepoint. He began to sexually assault her when he was scared off by an unknown noise.

Police said no similar attacks have been reported.

The suspect is described as a white man, about 28 years old, with dark hair, light-colored eyes, a thick build and small bump on his nose. He has a Yin and Yang tattoo on his left forearm and was wearing a red bandana.
