Alcohol may be a factor in Seafair drowning

SEATTLE -- Seattle Police believe alcohol may be a factor in the drowning of a 26 year old man in Lake Washington.

Around 4:45 p.m. Saturday, multiple agencies responded to the 5000 block of Lake Washington Blvd., after reports that a man jumped off a boat and went underwater during Seafair, said a Seattle Police spokesperson.

Police said the investigation later indicated the 26 year old man fell down on the boat, hit his dead and then fell into the water.

The Seattle Fire Department, Seattle Police Department, King County Harbor Patrol and the Coast Guard were involved in the search and used divers and special side-scan radar.

The man's body was found around 9pm.
