Man accused of posing as cop to rob homeowners escapes a manhunt

Snohomish - A massive manhunt ends in Snohomish County with a dangerous fugitive getting away on Friday.

Law enforcement sources confirmed to Q13 Fox News that Timothy Lussier is wanted for a series of home invasion robberies.

He is accused of posing as a cop, tying people up in their homes and robbing them in early July in Everett.

On Friday the Snohomish County Sheriff's  Office got a tip revealing Lussier's whereabouts. When cops tried to arrest him in the Clearview area he took off in a Chevy Lumina, ditching the car at the intersection of Elliott Road and Echo Lake Road.

For hours authorities searched the Snohomish River with no luck leading them to call of the manhunt Friday night.

Timothy Lussier is known to hang out in Marysville and Gold Bar so residents there should be on the lookout.

Lussier is in his mid thirties, he is 6 feet tall and weighs 200 pounds. He has brown hair and green eyes.
