Everett woman shot, police looking for answers

EVERETT - An Everett woman was shot three times inside her house and police want to know how it happened.  Police responded to a 911 call just after 3 a.m. Saturday for a report of a shooting in the 2200 block of Fulton Avenue in Everett.  When they arrived they found a 56-year-old woman who had been shot three times, Everett PD Lieutenant Robert Goetz reported.

The woman was conscious and alert and told police that she was laying on her couch when she thought she heard fireworks outside.  But when she got up to investigate, she discovered that she'd been shot.  Everett Fire Department personnel treated and then transported the woman to a local hospital.  Goetz said that the injuries did not appear to be life-threatening.

Everett Police did find several bullet holes in the woman's building, but no one else was injured.  Police ask that anyone with information about this incident to call 911 or the Everett Police Department TIP LINE at (425) 257-8450.
