The Bite of Seattle, a summer rite

SEATTLE - It's a summer rite, and a foodie's delight as the Groupon Bite of Seattle begins it's annual weekend run at the Seattle Center.

Since 1982, the Bite of Seattle has celebrated Seattle area restaurants and encourages the community to experience the area's dining and entertainment venues. This year's Bite takes place July 19-21 and features more than 60 restaurants, nine entertainment stages, live cooking demonstrations, craft beer tasting, wine tasting and more.

The event is free to the public and the hours are Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m.-9 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m.-8 p.m.

"We're delighted the festival supports the great work being done by Food Lifeline to give more people in Western Washington better access to nutritious food." said Rob Kilgarriff, vice president and general manager of North American Sales for Groupon. The daily deal online company is the sponsor for the event.
