Mariners sweep the Angels aside

SEATTLE -- The Mariner's took Sunday's game  4-3 to complete their first sweep of the season with Hirsashi Iwakuma on the mound.

In the bottom of the second, Michael Saunders opened scoring in the game by hitting a two-run homer to right.

Then, bottom of the fourth, Mike Zunino hit a sacrifce fly to score Kyle Seager. Mariner's take a 3-0 lead.

In the top of the fifth, Angel's Mark Trumbo hit a home run to left to reduce the M's lead, 3-1.

Seattle responded in the bottom of the inning when Raul Ibanez hit a double to deep right to score Brad Miller.

In the top of the sixth, the Angels fought back to avoid the sweep, but their efforts would not be enough. Alberto Callaspo singled to right to score Mike Trout and Howie Kendrick. With Trumbo on third, Chris Iannetta was struck out looking to conclude the top of the inning.

Both teams remained scoreless through the final two and a half innings of the game. M's Tom Wilhelmsen was on the mound in the top of the ninth to capture the save.

Angels' pitcher Joe Blanton took the loss, while Iwakuma picked up the win.
