Police searching for shirtless sexual assault suspect

PUYALLUP -- Police are searching for a man who allegedly pushed a woman against a fence and tried to sexually assault her Tuesday night.

According to the Puyallup Police Department, the victim was walking northbound in the 2900 block of 5th Street Southeast when an unknown man approached her and sparked a conversation at about 10:20 p.m. The suspect then suddenly pushed the victim against a fence and assaulted her. Luckily, the victim kneed the man and was able to run to a nearby Walmart where she asked for help.

Police called to the scene were unable to locate the suspect. However, a Walmart employee told police the man was inside the store earlier in the evening, and cops were able to get pictures of the man.

The suspect is described as a white male in his 30s, about 6;2: and weighing approximately 180 pounds. He had stained teeth and distinctive circular tattoo on his stomach area. He wore baggy blue jeans and a baseball cap.
