Three teenage boys may face felony charges after a picture of a sex act showed up online.

According to the Everett Herald, schools officials from Edmonds-Woodway High School launched an investigation in May, after the picture of its students was posted on Twitter.

Police say two boys, who were 17 and 18 at the time of the incident, were having sex with a 15-year-old girl when one of them took a picture.

The image was sent to another boy, who posted it on the Internet.

All three teens are cooperating with the investigation and have yet to be charged, according to the newspaper.

Snohomish County prosecutors are now reviewing the case.
