lakegoodwinNORTH MARYSVILLE — A teenage boy was pulled Sunday from Lake Goodwin in Wenberg Park and was not breathing, but a 15-year-old passerby reportedly began CPR until fire and aid crews arrived, the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office said.

The boy, believed to be 15 or 16, was rushed to Providence Medical Center in Everett, but his condition was not immediately known, Snohomish County sheriff’s Lt. Jeff Brand said.

“Witnesses gave conflicting reports as to how long the young man was submerged,” Brand said. “It is believed the male was visiting the park with family and/or friends and it is not known why he began having trouble in the water.”

The incident is under investigation.

He is 16 yr's old…. He was pulled out by a friend and passerby. CPR was started by military personnel, and nurse assist. He was reported to be under the water for 30 seconds by his friend. Upon leaving with the medics, he had a pulse.

We hope he is doing OK! My family and I were there and have been praying for him. We keep searching for updated information as he has been on our minds! The two gentleman Doing chest compressions until medics arrived were doing a great job! Praying he is going to be fine!

We were there also we keep getting conflicting reports. Q13 last night had that he died but the Everett Herald is saying he is alive? My children are very upset and would like to know what is the real info so i can explain it to them correctly. Those people that were doing CPR are angels.

On the news last night they said he was still alive (on KomoNews4). My kids too have been having a hard time with seeing all that happened. I am one of the members that were helping him, and Im still sick to my stomach with heart ache over this, and pray for him and his parents.

I'd love to come to the hospital and visit…. My brother was in the ICU at Prov Everett for over a month last year, so I know how hard it can be to be there day after day…..If anyone knows how I can contact the family to come and pray for him, please let me know…..I'd love to bring food for the family too…..
