Water boil advisory issued for Washington town

MOSSYROCK, Wash -- Officials are urging Mossyrock residents to boil their drinking water until further notice following a water main break Monday morning.

The break occurred in the downtown area of the rural town, causing most residents and businesses to lose water pressure.

Crews are working to repair the break and flush the water lines. Officials encouraged residents to use boiled or bottled water for drinking, brushing teeth, washing dishes, preparing food, and making ice. To kill bacteria that may be present, water should be boiled for one minute and allowed to cool before use.

Concerned customers can call the Mossyrock Public Works Department at 360-983-3300 for more information.
