One of state's few female 'high-violent' offenders caught

brandiFUGITIVE CAPTURED June 21, 2013 -- The Department of Corrections says Brandi Thompson has been arrested and booked into the Benton County Jail. WANTED IN THE TRI-CITIES May 31, 2013 -- It's rare to see a woman tagged a "high-violent offender" by the state. The Department of Corrections says an attack on her ex-boyfriend's mom is just one of the violent crimes she's been convicted of. "The victim goes to her son's house, with her son, to help him move out because he was breaking up with Brandi. As soon as Brandi saw them approach the door, she quickly locks it. The victim's son opens up the door with his key and as soon as they step over that threshold, Brandi gets up, punches her in the face with a fist, causing her eye to swell," Christina Lacy with the Department of Corrections said. Thompson is currently missing -- she is in violation of her probation and a protection order, which is one of many domestic violence crimes she has on her rap sheet. Brandi Thompson is 24-years-old and is believed to be hiding in the Tri-Cities area. Corrections officers warn that she has serious anger issues and is known to go off in fits of rage.
