Man attempts to lure girl at school bus stop



SEATTLE -- According to the Bonney Lake Police Department, a man told a 14-year-old girl, "I'm going to get you."

Police are investigating the incident, which took place at a school bus stop Thursday morning, as an attempted child luring and are asking the public for help.

At approximately 6:35 a.m., the girl was approached in the 11000 block of Angeline Road. The girl told police that as she was walking down Angeline Road toward a bus stop she noticed a van traveling slowly on the road. As she continued walking, she noticed the van passed her and turned around on two separate occasions.

The girl told police she began to feel scared and started walking faster toward her friend's house. When she reached the corner of 110th Street and Angeline Road the van pulled up next to her, within about three to four feet. The driver had the window rolled halfway down and when he looked at her, that is when he said, "I'm going to get you," the girl said.

The girl then fled the scene on foot and hid behind a tree until she saw her friend and her mother driving past her and they stopped to help her. The girl told police the man in the van then fled the area in an unknown direction on Angeline Road.

The van is described as deep red in color with tinted windows and as being in good condition. The driver is described as a white, heavy set male in his early 40s or 50s. He had blue or green eyes, light facial hair around his mouth and cheeks and had a pale face. He was wearing a gray, hooded sweatshirt.
