Seattle one of the most expensive cities to visit this summer

SEATTLE – Tell your friends, if they visit the Emerald City, they better pack some green. TripAdvisor says Seattle is the nation’s eighth most expensive city for summer travel. It estimates the cost of an average hotel room in downtown will run over $300. Add cab fare, dinner and drinks for two, and you’re looking at another $100 on top of that.

Honolulu is the most expensive city for summer travel in the U.S., with an average night costing around $500. Las Vegas was the cheapest place to visit this summer at almost $300 a night. Based on the numbers, visitors could stay in Las Vegas for three nights, and pay the same as one night in Hawaii, as long as they stay away from the gaming tables.

Internationally, Oslo was the most expensive city to visit. A hotel room, cab fare, dinner and drinks would run at least $580 a night. Sofia, Bulgaria is the cheapest, with costs a little over $150.
